Huh Where did I say started from scratch. Besides do you know how hard it is to maintain a business ?
Not quite sure what you mean by punished ("Go to your room - NOW" ??) but you may be confusing Sevenseek and Bluefind. Bluefind received a PR 0 at one time, but AFAIK there has never been a Google penalty against Sevenseek.
I think Jeff should setup a redirect from avivadirectory.com to www.avivadirectory.com It's my favorite directory and is best directory on net IMHO! Saad
As *any* directory grows, it becomes necessary to create more subcategories, so over time listings do get moved into deeper categories. While that's probably a lower pagerank page, it can add value to your listing because it offers better co-citation data. For instance, instead of being in a general "travel" category, your hotel website is moved to a more specific "hotel" category where all the other listings on the page are hotels or even a page where all the other listings are hotels in your state. The more specific category also makes it easier to rank the page in the SERPs which will drive more relevant traffic to the listings. It's easier to rank a page for "Hotels in Alaska" than for "Hotels" or "Travel" That being said, if you have a concern about a specific listing, please PM me the details and I'm happy to look into it.
I do not see PR0 any more for that site. it is now varying between 4 and 7 http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=www.avivadirectory.com not sure where it will end up. Thanks
