Hi all.. i'm really upset right now because i'm using a ads system(CPC) which is Clicksor, and i get 00:00:00 Avg time on site on GA. If i take exemple the targeted countries are Canada / UK / Belgium. From 7 to 9 July, I had 800 unique visitors(clicks), and those visitors are tracked to GA. But the problem is the Avg time on site, its all to 00:00:00. How this is possible??? Someone can tell me more on AVG time on site, or the problem right now I can tell you that my GA is well installed, and other pages on my website are getting an AVG time on site. All my pages are using <?php include("googleStats.php"); ?> PHP: which contain the code, so it can be an error in the code.
Is it possible the clicks are from bot? You can try to go deeper into the Browser, OS, Internet provider etc and see if all the clicks are from same source (or most are from similar source). If they are, you can report the problem to your Ad company.
No no just the internet provider are not the sames... Damn.. but are you in the same mood that its not normal?
Hi, The way that Google Analytics calculates average time on site is by subtracting the timestamps between the first and the last pageview of a visit. (http://analytics.blogspot.com/2007/09/reverting-back-to-original-average-time.html). In this case does not mean that the visitors did not stay on your landing page. Instead, you landing page may not have other links for visitors to click or may provide enough information to the visitors. If you can provide me with more information about your landing page or pm me your CID. We will review and help you improve on your campaign. Best, Clicksor_CS
You visitors are landing on a page, and then clicking back, clicking to another site via an external link, or perhaps you have a javascript link or a 301 redirect happening. The visitor never gets to another tracked page on your site (As far as google can see) so it has no reference for time - there fore its a 0.
I had similar results with Bidvertizer (including 100% bound rate) - this is what you get from 3rd tier ad networks
fake hits, there should be problem with ga. I had this too, only solution was to ban those users providing it.
GA interface has tabs for switching code structure depending on will your sites need to be "glued" together (for rising PR/visitors count) or have subdomains for tracking. So, first choose right code for your situation. Analytics Opt-Out Browser Addon can be another answer. GA is installed on ~20% of Alexa ToP-10k websites, so find supplementary counter (whos.amung.us, GoStat.com, Woopra.com, etc.)
@Fleury75 Mmm can you explain better please i'm not sure to understand well. English isn't my primary language. Thanks
