Avg. 120,000 pageviews per month but making little money?

    Hi.

I have 3 websites and their total avg. pageviews per month is 120,000.
But I am barely making money with AdSense. I make about $2-3 per day ...
Which is around $75 per month.
    Is this normal?
I read somewhere that I should be expecting more than this ...

Maybe it's my niche that they pay low for ads?
My sites are video games & emo niche btw.
Or should I change my monetize method - use something else instead of AdSense?

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Definitely not the best paying niche. Plus I'd try different placements and page layouts. Try using big blocks. Kinda in your face placement with text wrapped around it. Should help with clickthrough.

But another thing is that your readers are looking for walkthroughs and adsense is showing them SEO optmization ads or web design. Just bad targeting on part of google, I guess. Or google doesn't understand what your site is about.

Low paying niches. You might also want to check your click through rate and see if you can increase that.

Games are low paying niche at adsense...but I agree with sezerb, better you check the CTR..if you get low than 2%, I suggest you to change your ads placement.

    Thanks guys.

    Uhh yeah .. I am getting lower than 1% CTR .. -_-

    1 week for 15,000 page views with only 95 clicks .. not even 1% (150 clicks) ...

I agree, it could be your low paying niche. Research the keywords that pays and create sites for that.

As we can see your daily average impression is about 4k.
Due to your niche considered as low pay niche, the CPC is about $0.10
And you are getting about 20 ~30 clicks, which is about 1% CTR
In this case, i would say it is normal but it can be better
