    Hi,

I am consistently checking my Google Analytic account and found that when visitors come to my site with some keywords their average time spent time is between 0 to 10 seconds.

My site is well designed with proper navigation and outlook.

Can anyone tell me the solution of the problem?

    Regards
    HZ

Users that stay for less then 10 seconds on the site are usually the ones that do not find what they are looking for and should be considered as Bounced traffic.

10 seconds is too low for users to grasp on the page and make a decision to stay.

Some picture, better content, something free :)

Anyway twin_s is right. Those visitors didn't find what they were looking for.

This is just my personal observation, but I have found Google Analytics to not be all that accurate in some circumstances. This is to be expected on a tracking solution that relies on JavaScript.

It depends on many circumstance as well, and those numbers may not be entirely accurate.

HZ - there a lot of things that you can do like get more targeted traffic > if you are working towards getting targeted traffic then your next step will be to make landing pages more product / service centric.. for example if you running an online campaign for link building services your landing page should talk only about link building -- should have more graphics and less text.. graphics tend to convert better and have more impact on the viewer...

Basically what I am trying to say is be true to what you say in your ad or in your link that sends people to your site.. if you link says "link building services" then don't send the users to a page where they have to look around for more than 10sec for related content!

    Read this, it'll help - http://www.roigain.com/blog/2009/09/landing-pages-10-things-that-improve-performance/

Woody7906 - yes its not accurate but the whole point of using GA is not for its accurate-ness but for analyzing trends in data... and taking action!

How long do you think an engagned visitor should spend on your site? There is no such thing as a good time spent per page. Each page on your site will have an ideal time spent on it based o the amount of time you should expect a visitor to spend on it. Some pages such as category pages might have average time spent less than 20 seconds. Other pages such as product pages specially those full of product reviews might require a visitor to spend 3 to 5 minutes on them. A visitor might spend 15 minutes on a well developed and persuasive long copy landing page.
