    Hello,

Pretty much what the title states, what is the average time before Google or other search engines list your site in their database? Ive got my meta's set and all. Would their be any reason for Google to reject a site?

    Thanks!

I'm averaging about 4 days for the inital index then about 7 days for deeper spidering to show up......

Submit to directories etc if you don't have some high PR links to throw at your site initially :)

It will depend upon the quality of your inbound links. If you have inbound link from PR6 you site will be listed in a two or three day. If you got inbound link from PR 0 you will have to wait may be for a month.

My first site: I've had a PR6 and a PR5 link for two months and got indexed last Friday.

That's about three full months after I published and submitted to Google, about one month after I submitted Sitemaps, two weeks after submitting to 300 directories, and two days after I submitted a reinclusion request because I feared my second-hand domain was tainted. I don't know if it was the Sitemaps, the directories, the reinclusion request, or if it just takes time. But it wasn't the PR5&6 links I got early.

As far as metas go, I don't think Google cares, but MSN and Yahoo definitely do. Google's all about links, and quality links, as I understand it, so submit to directories, particularly niche directories, and look for partners.

I believe there are things that will keep you from being indexed, but there's a lot of debate about what they are. I participated in freerelevantlinks.com for a short time when I started, but then read about Google not liking link farms, so I took it off. Now I'm banned from freerelevantlinks.com, but indexed by Google. Was it freerelevantlinks.com that kept me from getting indexed, until I submitted that reinclusion request?

Probably not, tons of PR sites use that service. But, to play it safe, I'd go the slow and steady route again.
