True, society would be much better if it was like that nowadays but with interest rates and stupid government policies now in Australia I doubt it'll ever turn back. For more input, I heard that some local farmers in rural area in the Philippines get around 2000 to 3000 Peso's per week in pay (or was it month, more so week I think) whilst some Security Guards were getting 3000+ Peso's. That can pay for fair bit of food over there but something which seems to be very expensive are electronics which I can see alot of people over there not being able to afford. Those numbers are what I heard, I just forget how long a period they really were.
If you earn $100-$150 is enough for a single person for a month in tier-II and tier III cities but not in tier I cities like Chennai ,Mumbai etc., But anything above $400 is considered very good in India
interesting thread.. average industrial salary in ireland is E2800 before taxes.. Around E2400 afterwards
Here in Portugal the average salary is about 700€ month, but thats the average of the hole population (10.000.000) in urban centers and people with graduations those salaries start at 850 to 1050€ average. (value after taxes)
