In Portugal minimum wage is around €420. A good salary can be anything between €1000 to €2000.

Unfortunately I think Portugal is way behind other European nations. In some countries like Ireland minimum wage is something like €1200.

If you want to have a reasonable good life in Portugal you have to earn €1000 or at least €2000 if you have a family. Prices here are stupidly high.

As Markas said, it's around $600 in Lithuania minus taxes. So it's around $450 in hands.

My dad makes about $5,000 a month/ yearly about $60,000 and my dad has a hard time making it still.
lol americans make too much and still dont live healthly. sucks
That only happens because california is the 6th biggest economy by itself.

It is a nice country and in 30 years or so we will have the average European level i think cause our economy is growing very fast. Although it sort of stopped and people say it will be a bit unstable this year. But i think this is just an effect of a constant growth.

It's hard to compare us to Portugal cause i can't tell much about your economy. But if not the Soviet occupation, i think we'd be close to Ireland and Finland. :)

And it still better than Ukraine for example where you need the numbers you qoute (but ok, in USD). I agree, prices is high:mad::(

In Ireland probably 50% taxes which is also not so good.

Is any one here from Iceland? I wonder how much those chaps earn per month. It's one of those countries that I've always wanted to visit.
