What is the average Number of clicks to covert to a lead?

    Anyone know this number?

I'm in the insurance biz...and was wondering how many clicks will it take to generate a lead from a GOOD landing page or Website?

I'm sure these stats are avaiable...

Again...assuming a well thought out landing page and decent design.

I suppose this might have something to do with industry....

If you have a short form it's going to take far less clicks then a 5 step form.

It depends on which part of the industry you're in too...

Lead gen is usually in the 10% conversion ratio plus or min % depending on how good/bad your setup is

    Thanks guys....so basically...if i pay $10 per click....then approximately $100 would be spent for 1 lead....

    Correct?

A very open ended question which I think varies with everybody. Many variables have to be taken into account, so IMO giving a % is pretty useless.

Some people will have 1% some will have 25%.

It actually depends on your landing page. How well you manage it. Well if your landing page was attractive then you will get high lead conversion from the traffic that on your site. :)

It depends on more than the landing page.

If the keywords aren't well targetted, you will need more clicks than average.

If the ads aren't well targetted, then visitors will be clicking onto the webpage and realising, it's not what they thought it was, before leaving.

Yeah there is too many variables for any accurate stats, landing page is key to all because you can have a million hits but if it turns off 90 percent of those who visit your bandwidth bills will kill any leads/profits you get.
