average CTR 16% is it true?

I have about 10 websites. 9 of them have an average CTR of 9% but one is only 1%. I have heard that if you have sites with a CTR of less than 2% google pays you a lower amount of the ad dollars.

    1.) is this true?
2.) Should I remove adsense from the site with a CTR of 1% and try somthing else.

    Thanks.

Your 1% CTR is true and your 9% CTR is false...

16% clickthrough rate is an abnormal one.

Having CTR from 1% to 10% is the normal figure. Above these level will put your account in danger.

Which one is correct anyway? 9% or 16%? 9% should still be ok but on the high side. However, 16% is way above normal. There are things which you can look into. If you setup channels, find out whether all the clicks are coming from the same page. If it does, then something suspicious is happening.

Everything depends on quality traffic buddy . Ctr #%-8% is fine and if you get niche related traffic than u can earn good money from it . If you are getting 1% Ctr try to replace those ads with new color and space .
