There's no answer for that question. The key is to shoot for as high as a CTR as you can get within the bounds of the Google Adsense rules. As long as you do that, you can have a CTR as high as you're able to get. :)

Started quite low for me... 0.0x% but lately it increased to 2-3% so not sure how much it'll grow. I noticed that with more clicks lately though they seem to pay less per click (many $0.01 clicks). Well as long as revenue rises it's good :)

Well, that depends. You can have Page CTR or Ad Impression CTR. Usually when people just say "CTR" they mean "Page CTR", but Ad Impression CTR is a perfectly valid metric as well.

My AVG across all sites is about 5-8% but that includes blogs which aren't really optimized for adsense.

I've been able to get individual pages to maintain 20%+ CTR.

I know of people who can maintain 40-60% on optimized pages! The most important part is where the visitors are coming from and their mindset when they get your site... if you can figure that out, you can optiimze it perfectly.

PS: If your CTR sucks, EXPERIMENT! Try everything until something works!

To measure CTR, Google uses page impressions, but Yahoo uses ad unit impressions (not individual ad impressions).

You can get Google to display Page CTR, Ad Unit CTR or Individual Ad CTR, Just use the "Show data by" Drop down on the "Advanced Reports" page.

I can't believe someone has a 27% CTR on one of their sites.
That's absolutely fantastic for a site with decent traffic. I'd make in the high 4-figures if I had that

Bad advice, because some sites will never get a high CTR, it all depends what the site's about.

CTRs of 4-5% on average. Some sites 15% but some crappy sites that I built are only 1%. MY CTRs also give me a sense of what type of sites to develop and spend more time on.

arround 2% for all my sites. Good enough, since i dont focus on the ads and my main site is very graphical. I get the best out of it. Traffic is great.
