Average CPC is €1 euro - is this high?

My average CPC is around €1. Is this quite high for a typical ad words account. Is there anything I can do to immediately help lower my CPC?

    Thank you!

Cost per click depends on a lot of factors.
You can get lower CPC. Just need to have more relevant landing page and ad copy.
    Regards.

It depends on the competition. It is quite high for fashion retail and it is quite low for insurance or payday loans. Look into auction insights report and check your impression share - it will tell you more about how your competitors are bidding over there. Increase your quality score and it will decrease your cpc.

Now... if you want to lower your cpc the most simple thing would be to lower your bid. What is your current average position in adwords and CTR? Usualy lowering the bid would hurt your CTR.

An idea would be to check the landing page quality score - if you are able to imporve the score, then the cpc could decrease.

No, it's not high. I am managing one of my clients adwords and some keywords top page bids are like $20. I have to set $10-$15 for some keywords as their est. top page bids are within that range. So your ones are not high!

Well... I don't think that you can compare a client to another. Each search term is somehow unique. I depends what is the profit margin related to that product, what is the average conversion rate, and so on.

It depends on really many levels - sometimes this 1 euro will be high, but sometimes even 10 euro will be cheap. As i said - it depends :)

No that's not high. To lower your CPC try to add more negative keywords, use only targeted keywords (in your ad groups) and include one targeted keyword on the ad copy headline or description fields. Try to put keywords on the landing pages. There should be relevancy among your campaign, ad group, keywords, ad copies, and landing pages
