Avatars for VB Forum

    Hey, I have a problem in my VB forum admin panel, I want to add avatars so people can chose, but I have a problem

    here are pics explaining

    The /images/avatars folder has to be writable by the server. This usually means it has to be chmod to 666.

    And to resize images so they fit in threads better, use the Microsoft power toys image resizer. You can find it at microsoft.com. That way you do not have to post these huge images when a smaller image will do just fine.

    I don't understand you, so what do I have to do so I fix it, the image sizes are 125x125 I think.

    Log into the webserver with a file transfer protocol program. This is also known as an FTP client or FTP program. Examples include Cute FTP and Filezilla FTP.

    Browse to the /images/ directory, find the /avatar directory - right click - properties - set the permissions to 666 - click ok.

    The image resizer was because you posted such a large image in this forum. You could have used the microsoft power toys image resizer, resized the image, and then posted it here. That way it would not have broken the frame of the site.
