The ability to change the background/color is fantastic. I would put the little drop down at the top as well as the bottom, since it would be easy to miss at the bottom only.

Design is fine, you should care about your load time. Only think i can find is that your page is 177.34kb. I am sure you can reduce this and get your loading time lower (it effects your SEO so its always good to do.).

 

Black background and blue text is almost never a good color combo.

The forum descriptions need to stand off the page a little more. Right now they kinda blend into the background a little too much.

The meta description is too long and full of trash words

Couldn't you just say something like "Avatar forum and community"??? You dont even mention the word "forum" anywhere in the meta description.

 

Another good point. It maybe the background image that is causing the longer page loads? What do you think? I am actually on one of the fastest hosts around, so I can't blame my host here.

Edit - I just set the theme as the IP.Board default. How big is the size now? For testing purposes.

We are actually planning on creating a new theme from scratch which will replace our default theme. Which will be lighter and easier on the eyes. It appears many people get turned away with the darker themes.

I also adjusted the meta tags and description. Look better?

So a few of you guys complained about the style and background not matching. So we began working up a brand new theme to resolve this.

What do you guys think thus far? (I know it's just a small header image for now, but you should get the idea.)
