Nah im not sure - i've seen some websites on some Nissan 350z's (vvrrroooom) and i've checked out there website, never brought anything though :p. But i suppose it depends what sort of website your trying to market :)

I lived in Philadelphia and drove all over plus raced with 100s of other drag racers.....it drove minimal traffic... but nothing to brag about.

Sometimes I wondered when sitting in traffic if the person behind me became so tired of seeing the website URL they put it out of their minds permanently...if that makes sense..

Further as a marketing experiment this failed due to several reasons

    1. Gasoline price...driving around between stops signs and red lights in the city burnt gas to make some Shiek happy.

    2. 104 octane gas is even more expensive $8.00 per gallon Ouch

    3. Racing in and of itself consumes lots of gas quickly lol....

Lesson learned: Do not use muscle car which loves to drink gas, in city, to advertise website.

Sweet car! My next mid life crisis might be satisfied by a 70 GTO so you are not far off with that SS. Is that the gates of Angel's stadium behind the second photo? If so it's the right neighborhood for my domain name. You should rent me that space for $20 but I'd take it.

and it's way too low for giving up an avatar's character or branding, at least for me. :)

It was a good idea and it worked, that's the only thing that matters :D People are always coming up with new ways to market their products, this is just one more.

It was an original idea, if people are willing to do it. Wish I had thought of it first.

I think it's a great advertising idea. I am new to the forums and started seeing all the sitesift avatars and will admit I checked it out.

Not sure how good it is overall for the forums though. Makes it a little less interesting and harder to differentiate people.

I was wondering if anyone could figure out the ballpark ...its the new Citizens Bank Park in Philly...

That goats a tempting idea.... I had a 64 vette saddle tan full electric last... but it was more of a excellent sunny weekend car... and that whole concept made me feel 80.....but when I grow up and have a 3rd no 4th no 7th crisis Im thinking a Super Bee would be hot.

Read over my later post on the effect this form of advertising had before spending all your money on it.

Ever wonder why the cars done in full graphics for companies went away??
I dont think the auto ads offline pushed well to online.

Thanks for the compliment too, the car burnt a patch for you lol :D

:) , and I was wondering last few days why many of you guys have same avatar. i thought its some Christmas DP thing..
But to be honest, its annoying to me. In most cases, I recognized people through their avatars, now it is confusing me, and I have to think who is hiding behind it.

Nice idea to advertiser, but terrible for those who sold their avatars, avatar can be a brand ( as I said , I mostly recognize people through it ), and you have just gave it for small money. Definitelly wrong...but...if you want ;)

Don't get me wrong, there are a few people who actually support the site in question. But for the rest...come on. lol

I'm glad this thread was bumped up - I was confused to see so many the same avatars.
I agree with those who would not sell their avatar: if they want to brand through me, they'd have to pay a bit more.
