Avatar background. How to get rid of it...

How do I save a image in photo shop so it doesn't have a background. I have done so with png files, but they always seem to load up on the forum with a white background. Any tips? Thanks.

You have to hide the background layer. (click on the little eye in the layers palette) Then save it as a .png.

Make a background with the same colour as DP has..
Use color picker to know this light green color.. ;)

Of course, this won't work if you're using the same avatar on different forums with different colored backgrounds. Getting it to work flawlessly on several different backgrounds can get to be a bit tricky.

delete Background Layer, save it as .PNG or .GIF

    Simply.. done...

    JPEG will not do
