Hi, I'm about to start building an authority site but there's one thing that's nagging a bit... When I research the topic I see people mention that Wordpress is the shit and blah blah blah, web 2.0 and all that stuff. And that it's critical you use the resources web 2.0 platforms such as Wordpress provide. At the same time I as a programmer prefer to build my site by hand and not use the messy the Wordpress code as my base. So my question is, does a system like Wordpress really give me a significant advantage over non-Wordpress like sites? And if so what elements of the Wordpress system make this so? (so I can optionally choose to program these elements myself)
What do you mean 'build an authority site'? How is building an 'authority' site different to building any other kind of site?
I don't think getting an authority status is in your hand or you can do it on your will..u need work hard and provide content and attain backlinks..Its upto search engines whether they grant you authority status or not... Wordpress provides a good platform to make website and authority status depends on how you work on your site.... Correct me if i am wrong...
You need to make strong partnerships and alliances with few authority sites and make good reputation over there.
