Brian Here, I wanted to share with you all a few tips on your email sequence when building your lists. Feel free to add your thoughts below, these are just my opinions. Whenever I build a new list, I always spend the entire first week giving away quality, FREE content! Thats right, for the entire first week I would do nothing but give away freebies (and not the stuff everyone already has). If you immediatley begin bombarding your list with sales letters you will not convert them because they have no reason to trust you yet... Do just enough research to be able to write your own articles on a certain topic, and use the content to generate your email copy. Set up atleast 7 days worth of quality free content and giveaways in your autoresponder. If you have any free ebooks on the subject, give those away! If you want to build hype for a certain product launch within the first week, that's fine, but include some freebies along with it. When building your list, view them as your own community. To keep them actively buying, you need to take care of them with free info and advice. Nurturing them is the best way to keep them active. Also, its common knowledge that people would much rather watch T.V. than read a book. The same goes for your Emails. Take the content you would normally write an article type of email to your list with, and make a camtasia. The extra effort will impress your list, and have them trusting you to get solid credible info. Establish this relationship, and when you DO want to sell them something, they'll convert much much better. Grace and Peace
