I want to create an FB application, all I need is how to make an api call that automatically "like" a page after the user allows the application's permission. For example I have created a "MyFanPage" as facebook fan page, and "MyApplication" as application linked in the application tab of the "MyFanPage" page. If the user clicks on the application tab, the application will ask the user to allow the application to gather his/her information basically if it's the first time the users visited the application or he/she doesn't allow the application at all. Once the user allows the application, an API will automatically call a "Like" to "MyFanPage" so that I don't need to check the user if he/she already liked the "MyFanPage". Is it possible? Please advise us. Comments are really appreciated.
This is not possible with FB, they require you to click the link. I can understand why you would want this, but it's not possible (well, I should say, not allowed, I'm sure with some hacking it's possible in the end, but you run a big risk).
Before you ever decide to make any kind of apps for Facebook, take your time to read all the little details in their terms of use. As my understanding FB will not allow you to force people to like your page. Instead of spending time to force people to like you, try about ways that will make people want to like you.
It is possible, you have to make a POST request to an URL, but be sure that Facebook will notice the user, and ban you page immediately
Yeah, you definitely do NOT want to do that. If you are marketing to the right selection of people, you will get facebook likes.
he asked for help not negative feedback! I am looking for the same application. does anyone have that application. i've seen it before in likesss.com
Facebook is very particular about such practices. Don't be surprised if you find yourself on a island, blocked and banned.
