Automatically generating affiliate links

    Hi all,
So i've set up another affiliate site, and this one i've been updating daily with multiple posts (each post a minimum one 1 affiliate link) ..

It has quickly become annoying having to look up the item from the online store in CJ that i am trying to promote, getting the Affiliate Link, and dropping the affiliate link into my URL masking process.

Is there a way that I can automatically generate a affiliate URL if i have the original url to a product.

    Example:
    1) I want to create an affiliate link to www.bestbuy.com/mp3players/ipod.html
    2) Is there a way/format/something where I could programatically generate a url in the following form: http://www.affiliate.cj.com/affiliateId=empire29&advertiserId=BestBuy&targetUrl=www.bestbuy.com/mp3players/ipod.html

(I just made up the format for the above link, it isnt based on anything real) ..

If there was some set format I could create my CJ affiliate links in, i would save alot of time putzing around CJ.com trying to find the item im linking to (sometimes they dont even have it listed?!???)

Any suggestions of how to do this, free software, commercial software, etc. i would be very appreciateive.

FYi - i am running Wordpress 2.6 so a plugin would be even better!

If the advertiser has a product catalog link, or a link with URL redirection enabled, you should be able to add ?url=http://bestbuy.com/whatever/blah.html to the end of your link. Check with the advertiser to make sure that commissions will track, though, if you do that manually.

They always have some affiliate links that you can use for the extension of your link, if you want to modify the original link just email them to ask their permission.
