I've never experienced this before as today I got my first automatic decline. It's for someone called "Murad - Skin Care" so nothing special. I don't understand why this is - I have a site within the Bath & Body category, earned about £300 so far and been a member for 3-4 months. What are the main reasons when this happens? I will contact the advertiser as I'm really after his $18 per lead to see what his reasons are. But why does this usually happen?
I have had that happen for a few things and I never understood myself for some. But its a bunch of factors I was told, some of which include what sites you have attached to your account. Some advertisers auto decline due to keywords in your web names they don't like, or the amount of money you have done with cj in the past month. I think it mostly has to do with other domain names you have attached to your account. But thats just my opinion. Send the contact adviser a note and let him know the site you want to advertise with. Im not sure if thats against the cj policy or not, might want to make sure. I need to do this myself actually for something.
Auto-declines have nothing to do with keywords, site names, or things like that. Auto-declines may be based on the following things: your country, your earnings bars (New, or 0-5 bars), your site/account targeting categories (although I'm not aware of any advertisers who use this - CJ recommends against it), if you have a special/incentive description, or a specific ban on your specific account ID (if you have violated an advertiser's terms in the past). The most likely causes are you earnings (for lazy affiliate managers) or your country.
This thread will help - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=409301 you can bypass auto decline by the above technique!
It can work sometime, but if they have a policy set up that restricts affiliates from certain countries, it's likely that they will not accept you. That said, it never hurts to try. Just don't lie & say that you're an internet millionaire or anything... affiliate managers hate those messages (trust me, I see them quite frequently).
I work on multiple affiliate programs in CJ, and I've heard probably every story out there from affiliates as to why I should accept them... lying doesn't work. If your site looks like crap & you say you're making a million dollars a month from it, there's no way I'll accept you.
I suspect that the auto-rejection is due to your location. Stupid merchants auto reject non US affiliates.
