Hi, I also wanted to do the same thing for my wordpress blog. It is theoritically possible by using the Post by Email feature.
I have a job board on another website, and wanted to add the job posting automatically into wordpress blog. So I thought of using this trick - Generate an email from my website to the secret wordpress address when an user posts an ad. Both pieces work independently fine
    eg.,
    1. I tested that if I am sending the email to the correct address.
    2. I tested that if I send an email from my yahoo account to the secret wordpress email, I get the auto posting.
However, the automatic opsting fails without any reason. So I think auto posting in wordpress tries to filter out email sent by an auto program, but likes email from yahoo. So I tried one more thing to beat this - setup forwarding option on my yahoo email to forward the emails to my secret wordpress email. Alas, I am stuckup because this option is not free in yahoo mail.

I recommend you to not use auto programs at all and write quality articles yourself :\ you may not be looking for this answer im giving you but as a writer AND reader, i look for quality articles that catch my interest, not generic auto ones. Take my advice as it will make your blog strive and not kill it.

You must have experience or know of strictly autoblogs. I agree, they are not the quality of a site that has a dedicated blogger. However, it is possible to automate some common processes of blogging. Syndicated articles, press releases, and other content can be valuable to a blog's reader base and can be posted automatically. I do not suggest a fully automated blog, but with the right setup some automation can free a blogger from certain mundane tasks and use that time for more important tasks.

I agree! Autopiloting on your blog is ok, since it helps your readers find other useful information but your entire site should not be run on auto.
