Automatic phone line check (probably UK specific)

    Hi guys,

    I remember in the past that I've called a phone number and selected a few options. About 5 minutes later it would call me back with info on my phone line. Like whether or not I've got adsl already enabled on the line (or isdn), and how far that line (in metres) was from the exchange and whether there were any faults under investigation there too.

    Anyone remember what that number was? Or is it some "top secret" engineer only line that I wasn't supposed to know about?

    Excellent stuff. Thanks. I remember the 17070 one. I'll have to try it when I get in... but I'm not sure if they stopped it. But thanks anyway.

    ...oh, and I can't give you any green because I've done you (so to speak) too recently. So if someone else would do the honours for me! :)
