Hello! I have seen some blogs that runs on automatation from RSS feeds from other sites. And I have two questions: *Is it legal to do that? *If it isn't ilegal, I would like to try How do I do it? Thanks, Kalle
get wordpress and do a google search for feedwordpress. That plugin will allow you to do exactly what you are looking for
If something u blog is copy right protected material... then i guess its wrong.. or else it should be fine . who wont like free advertising of their contents ?
Searched Google for "feedwordpress" and found some results, a lot of modifications to the addon and such things. I also found a site: projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress witch I think is the right one. But I get an error on that page. Does anyone know of a mirror that I could download from, or could anyone send by mail or something? If you could send by mail, please PM me Kalle
Well, I didn't get a mail from you with the file. Maybe you were busy, so I figured a way out. I searched for it using google, visited the cashed version of the site, and got the download link: http://projects.radgeek.com/download/feedwordpress-0.98.zip Kalle
I sent it earlier. Wonder if my e-mail is having difficulties. Either way i'm glad you were able to get ahold of it
I can never understand the concept or working of this feedwordpress I did it last time... went mad. I'l be glad if someone can guild on on msn/yahoo.
I have some difficulties with it too. I have installed it to my site and know where to change settings, but I don't know where to add the RSS feed adress to fetch posts from. So how do I do that? Thanks, Kalle
Thanks, it works now. I'm really impressed, it looks awesome! This is the webpage I used it on: PhotoBay. Kalle
By the way, how do I add a link, to the original article, at the end of each post, so I don't get caught for using someone elses content without giving any credit? Thanks, Kalle
This thread is forcing me give a shot to this application again .. lemme try it in a day or two shall keep you guys updated if I get any probs. Btw kalle you made a good blog there.
There is an option when you setup a feed in the feeds settings to determine weather the links point to your site or the authors site. Just change it to the authors site. (I believe it is the permalinks setting)
It is always best to ask before using someone elses content as most don't approve. We do automated blogs for videos from YouTube and some other things we haven't advertised yet but they are great for what they are, a hands free income generator. Cheers
