I am validating the idea - create youtube channel(s) with automated content posted. How much do youtube channels earn per 1k views? Does it depend on the channel topic, or mostly on users demographics (google knows everything and target ads to user regardless of what he is watching right now). Any experience would be great!

It depends on the CPM on how much you will earn. It varies every month. Some days you will earn more than others

What kind of automated posting? It will probably work better if you have original videos that you've created. Normally, how much you can get per 1k views depend on your niche/topic and the countries that your traffic is coming from.
Of course original content would work better, but it takes time and requires skills to create videos and it is impossible to do at a large scale. I am thinking to remaster existing videos, or create videos from other types of content, like compile photos and music etc.
