Automated News On Joomla

    Right ok, so heres my problem. Today I saw a site (that someone was selling on here) that pulled it's news content from other sites and blogs. The site is www.getanilife.us and I can't figure out how to do this. I know the newsfeed feature but I'm unsure of how to make the main news automated, he said that the news just needs to be approved and it gets put onto the front page. I want to do the same where I take news from numerous different sites, but at the moment I can't figure out how to do it.

    I haven't been using joomla for that long but I'm pretty sure there is an addon needed to do this.

    Please advise me on how to do this, thanks!

    That site isnt working so i cant see what your trying to show us but the best rss reader is the rssfactory.

    install the component, then add different catagories and save the links to those catagories and add "url/links" to your main menu

    Hope this answers your question, cause im currently blind by what you want

    hmm, sorry that site stopped working, the person who bought it must be doing something to it, I will try and find another site with what I mean...

    Hi Dear

    You can integrate RSS feed functionlity in your website. This will extract all the news related to your business from different websites and blogs and put it on the main page or any internal page of your website. It depends on where you want to put these news either on home page or internal page.

    If you have development knowledge then you can integrate it yourself or you will hire any developer for it.

    Hi guys, thanks for the tips, I'm using rss factory now and think it will work.

    One thing I need to know how to do is aggregate certain parts of rss feeds. For example:
    this page
    http://www.punknews.org/labels/fbr
    has a "recent news" section at the bottom which would be PERFECT for my website, but when I click on rss feed (firefox) it only shows the whole feed for the whole site.
    So what I need to know is how to take that "recent news" section and aggregate it for my site.

    I have tried rss context factory, but its pretty poor actually...
