Hi everyone, After running a link analysis of a competitor I noticed they had a lot of links from blog comments, which appeared to be automated and also appeared to be on more or less the same sort of sites, which looks like a huge network - does anybody know what service is this? Here are some examples: http://blog.bedandbreakfast.com/post/2008/08/06/Romance-abounds-at-the-Blair-Hill-Inn.aspx http://www.themaryecompany.com/blog/post/AIA-Austin-Cool-Austin.aspx http://blog.bedandbreakfast.com/post/2008/08/06/Romance-abounds-at-the-Blair-Hill-Inn.aspx You will see the same sort of profile pics are used for all posts on all the sites - there are many many more of these sorts of sites. Has anyway seen them before? Thanks, M
http://blog.patiofurniturejunction.com/post/The-Benefits-of-Owning-Aluminum-Patio-Furniture.aspx is another (I repeated the same 2 above)
Nobody has heard of this then? I have had a look about and there are lot's of similar services although I couldn't find this exact one. Has anybody had any good experienced with automatic blog posting? Cheers, M
If you Google "Smart Links" you'll find something that does a similar job. Its for Wordpress though.... not sure which blogging platform your using. As for automated blog posting it a dodgy one. Iv seen websites grow and prosper with them and other ones suffer a -50 penalty due to duplicate content.
It works well but if they aren`t 100% of your backlink of course. Forum links are much more valuable in my opinion.
You can't only look at one linkbuilding opportunity. I'm sure your competitor has other links as well. Go for the big stuff, and build a content network legitimately. You can avoid duplicate content issues by not copy/paste posting. Content networks will give you the best long term rankings, but it takes a lot longer them to get working.
