I keep on running into link exchanges that are supposedly automated. Is an automated link exchange as good as a manual link exchange?
Absolutely not! It always better to only do link exchanges with sites you choose that are related to your niche. One way links are much better but you can have success from exchanging as long as you are careful and use good judgement in who you exchange with.
Most automated link exchanges work on recipricol linking which is almost pointless nowadays. I have seen one or two which work on three plus way linking which is probably a bit better. I had a poor return on automated link exchanges when I first used them a few years back and have not bothered using them since. the post above is right, it's all about targetting similar sites for your link campaigns, and unfortunately, automated link exchanges just don't do it....
