Hi I wounder if anyone has tried automated link exchange services ? for example something like this: Receive Links - Permanent Link Exchange The best and only real solution for a free and effective link building campaign. Receive Links is made up of members who trade links on their sites for links on other sites in the network. Each member must bring to the network a website with pages set to receive links or they can buy points in the network for their ads. If they choose to let the network have link slots on their pages they will receive points for these slots. To keep the network up and help cover the cost of the servers, we keep a small percentage of the points in the network for sale. The points we sell on the site are coming from our small percentage we keep in our account. We do not sell space points that are not used on users accounts. Each website and Ads added to the network will be approved by a person before any links are placed to ensure it meets our strict quality guidelines. You do not have to use the sites in the network for the ads you can use any website that meets our guidelines. Receive Links is completely free and the set up is easily customized. All the links are static, unless you delete them or the page is removed from the network. You also have full control over the Number, Max Page Rank, Points Used, etc.. of text links your ads receive. We offer subscriptions for some of the advance features and more benefits from the network but you do not have to pay. We offer a bonus to your account for referrals. What are pros and cons ? What is Google's attitude towards automated links you get to your site? Would really appreciate some opinions thanx!
I don't like them because you may end up with a lot of crap on your site and your site may end up on some low rep sites. I think it is much better to hae control on where you place your ads and who places them on yours. They say you have control but I am still weary of them. As far as Google, they are changing all the time so I can see them frowning on this type of exchange.
I would never use automated links because I'm pretty picky with who I do an exchange with (ex: they need a good PR so both parties benefit and the site's niche has to be similar)
Don't do link exchanges with just any website - it's bound to get your site linking to sites that aren't too good. And that is bound to badly influence your rankings.
yup an automatic things is aint the thing , i need to know about the sites , the owner etc, i belive DP is doing its part via the link exchange forum.
I'll stick my neck out and say that I've had great success with automated exchanges. Both link vault and receive links allow you to remove any links from your site that you don't want there, so junk shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I only put these links on my less profitable sites, which is a great way getting benefit from some failed projects. The credits gained from that are then used to get links to my more important web sites. If you do some searches on this forum you'll find quite a lot of people who are big fans of these services. ok Riatsala many thanx for your post Im not just sure if you can do damage to your positions as you know Software Development niche is very difficult to make your way to the top.... So won't it be a future problem to use automated exchanges and can they hurt ones rankings ?
It could be a future problem, but you can always remove the links if it is. Only you can decide if you are willing to take the risk. I've seen positive results so I'll continue for now. If that changes in the future, then I'll have to change my approach as well. Riatsala
I use Receive Links and absolutely love it. All sites and ads (links to your sites) are manually reviewed. You can also limit to category so you get your 'niche' links and you can limit your site to category so you only give links to your 'niche' to keep everything in theme. Someone is giving away free receive link points over here. So go try that.
I've used linkmarket.net in the past. You can choose who you want to exchange links with, and if a 'bad site' requests to exchange with you, you can deny. A lot of sites to choose from too.
i dont prefer any of automatic services . Google (my bigg daddy) understands all of the automatic link exchanges . shortly , if you want to make link exchange , i suggest you to make it with related web sites and MANUALY
personally i would stay away from any kind of automatic service. Do it manually and find good quality sites to exchange links with. the last thing you want is link farms, porn & gambling sites linking to your site, let alone you linking to them.
I have tried one of tehm but didnt see much benefits though. Maybe i should wait a bit longer. anyway it's www.build-reciprocal-links.com you cna have a try there.
