Looking for the simplest and/or best plugin to allow me to automate the posting of articles to a WP blog over a set period of time. Thanks in advance!

It is built into WP already. Just change the "Post Timestamp" for each of your posts.

If you mean something that allows you to write your articles and then set them to post in the future, it is built in and called 'edit timestamp'.
then you're writing or editing you post, scroll down to the bottom right and you should see a blue bar with 'Edit Timestamp' on it. Change the time and the box there should be ticked automatically.
    Then publish your post.

If it worked then on your WP dashboard on the rigt you'll see 'Upcomming posts' and how many days or hours a post is away from being published. If you did it wrong (perhaps by double clicking the ticked box) then your post will be published for all to see then and there. If so, ust edit that post's timestamp to the future and it will dissappear, to reappear at a later date.
