I am using wp - o matic but the problem is that it is not able to fetch completely maybe because of server excecution time so it is posting the duplicate content each time I run it
What are the chances that Google will penalize blogs that use feed aggregators ? I am mostly interested in search engine traffic for some of my tech blogs so I would not want to end up loosing traffic.
RSS is duplicate content indeed The search engines may see your original content and they can recognise the usefulness of RSS feeds so you can expect not to be penalised for their use But of course don't expect to get any ranking benefit from their use
I had an autoblog once. It looked great but it got zero SE traffic. Yet I once had another blog that was pure dupe content and I still get 50 hits a day from it! I don't understand how Google treats RSS/dupe blog content.....

I have two autoblogs that rank better than the original content does. I earn around $3 a day after the first month of use and I don't do anything. I don't use wp-o-matic or any other free autoblog script. They're too generic and light. I use a script that is extremely powerful and allows me to tweak anything I want. It pulls videos, photos, any content and I can automatically have it write any link that I choose, plus it can rename words to make the content 'different' and appear original. It's a kick butt script.
