I did a search on autoblog here but latest related post was like months back. So I thought of bringing in an autoblog discussion to clear my doubts as well as your doubts. As many have been saying, autoblog is kinda allowed by Google Adsense and I did read several times on Adsense policy. The closest thing that could come into the line of autoblog that Adsense policy mention was something to do with getting automated content created by programs. Adsense Policy Page http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/thread?tid=6af8ad4c5072012a&hl=en#all Google Webmaster Guideline http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769 To confirm, I read it again. Adsense Policy DID NOT mentioned anything about automated content. Under content guidelines: Sites with Google ads may not include or link to: Pornography, adult or mature content Violent content Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation Excessive profanity Hacking/cracking content Gambling or casino-related content Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content Sales of beer or hard alcohol Sales of tobacco or tobacco-related products Sales of prescription drugs Sales of weapons or ammunition (e.g. firearms, firearm components, fighting knives, stun guns) Sales of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others Code (markup): Adsense Policy did mention to adhere Webmaster Guidelines but in webmaster guidelines there isn't any statement mentioning about automated content not allowed. None of the guidelines is related to autoblog content. Google Webmaster > Little or No Original Content http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=66361 This page tells us that if your site is having content that is fully copied from other sites, you would not rank well in Google search engine or might even get removed from Google index. All the things they mention here will rarely happen to autoblog if you know how to play around with the content. Think about it, having an autoblog will be constantly adding new post daily and this goes on forever. Google needs to check thousands or even more articles on your blog and verify each and everyone's uniqueness. If you manage to find auto content that can be unique/spun when reaching you, it probably solve most of the issue. But in the end the fear here is getting listed in Google Search Result but not against Adsense policy. I have an autoblog with PageRank 1 on main page and PageRank 2 on a subpage. So why did Google gave me a PageRank? Simply because they can't tell if my ALL content is original or not and I did some minor trick to make this pagerank possible. And I still get 100-200 uniques daily from those thousands of content, and still increasing. Share your views on what you think about Google Adsense with Autoblogging sites.
Whether it's allowed or not, I just would not do any auto-blogging. It defeats the purpose of what real blogging is. If you are serious about a business and making money, the more personal effort your put into it, the better. I could be wrong, but I think nothing beats good, unique, new, non-automated content. Think about it. If you are really worried about google, you should try and make your blog as good as can be. If you feel you can accomplish this by auto-blogging, go ahead! If you feel auto-blogging is just a way to keep it going, probably not. Stephen C
