Auto zipping \ moving .log & .sql files?

Hi,

Four times daily my windows server 2003 creates log files of around 200mb. I want to automatically "zip" them and when the folder gets to a certain size move the zips to another drive.

What scripting language would be best \ easiest to do this? I would use windows scheduler to start the task.

i'm not skilled on w2003 but think perl is best for this kind of scripting.
