Auto Submit Article Script For WordPress

I could not see any articles on the AM website. Is there any link where I can see all the articles that they have?

Does anyone have the post details (all the fields that come in the ARTICLE POST) like name, title etc?

 

ArticleMarketer currently have thousands of articles... And each day more and more authors distributing 100s of articles with them. There is no page displaying articles in their site.... The signup page is http://www.articlemarketer.com/postsignup.php

And when you select the options in the signup page, remember to select Future Articles only. If you select All articles, then AM will sent all articles stored in their system.....

I bought this script a while back...and never got my site approved on AM...Its over 8 weeks...I have tried 3 times..may be they just don't like my site
I am starting a new WP site, Is there any way you can help (or direct me), so that I stand a better chance of getting it approved. I can pm you the url, I have not posted any articles yet though

Dont worry, MakeADifference.... We can make your first site a working one.... First, PM the site and login details to Armen... Let him take a look.... He will do his best efforts to solve the problem....

For your new WP site, almost all techniques we discussed in this thread.... You just need to check all things are OK, and after that signup with AM. I strongly believe this is not AM's problem, this is only a mistake in the steps you followed....

I installed the script exactly as described on the readme instructions and I am now getting a 500 Internal Server Error. Everything was working fine before that.

I installed the script, all the catagories were added to wordpress in the admin. I then subscribed to AM. I looked at the my site only to find Internal error 500.

Can anyone help please.

Try returning the permissions of your root directory back to it's normal setting. You needed it set to 777 for the category creation, but it can be set back to what your hosting normally wants it set to.

This seems to be amazing script.

I want to buy this script but I am concerned about the problem of multiple pinging and being banned from search engines. Can you provide detailed instructions on which plugin to install and how to configure it in order to avoid being banned because of too many pings every day? If you ping same search engine that is on your ping list more then 2 times per day, there is big risk to be banned. How can I have wordpress pinging my ping list maximum 2-3 times per day together with this script?

If you can give detailed instruction about this, I will buy the script.

Not to be the nay sayer, and maybe I'm misunderstanding it, but that script really doesn't help with what you're saying. The way I read it is that it only helps with future posts not pinging until it actually post and with post edits not re-pinging with the edit. It does not help at all with a run-of-the-mill post. I've pasted a quote from the plug-in site below:

"After you install it:

When you create a new post, your blog will ping and notify all the ping services that it has been updated. This encourages search engines and different blog directories/services to index your updated blog properly.

When you edit an existing post, it won't send an unnecessary ping to ping services and saves your blog from getting banned.

When you post a future post by editing the time stamp, it will ping only when your post appears in future. It won't unnecessarily ping many times when you schedule posts as WordPress does by default."

In other words, if you make 5 posts (or Article Marketer makes a thousand), it pings the ping services a thousand times. It has me concerned as well but I don't know how to check to see if I have been banned from the pinging services. Does anyone know how to check this?

I posted a few days back that I haven't received any articles..

Yesterday my site got approved and I have received about 550 articles in last 2 days. I only selected Finance related articles..!!

Great script..!! I made a few changes to optimize my WP category structure.

You might want to add this to the new article creation script after the entry is inserted..!!

Reason is: The pub date-time in the generated RSS is 1969-12-31 something. This is because it reads the post_date_gmt which is '0000-00-00 00:00:00' in the database.

If you know of any option in the WordPress where I can specify to use post_date rather than post_date_gmt while generating the RSS feed, please let me know.

The script does not use WordPress's New Post API. All it does is to insert the articles received from AM into your wordpress blog.
There is no chance for getting banned from excessive pinging (due to this script).

I think the best thing would be to do the pinging using a cron job. (Once or twice a day)

When I said "script" I meant the plugin, not Armens script...sorry for the confusion. My point was that the plugin doesn't really help you (that I know of) avoid any excessive pinging from NEW posts which are posted by Article Marketer to your blog which, in turn, may get banned with some of the pinging services. Again, if AM posts 200 articles to your blog that day, you will make 200 pings to the services.

That being said, can you expand on how to change the pinging rate using cron? Are you still talking about the maxblogpress plugin settings?

 

Hello, I love your script and it works great. My only feature I would like to see added is the ability to import article keywords as tags in wordpress. From being a member of Article Marketer I know they submit keywords but not sure how hard it would be to import them into database as tags. May not be possible. I bet that many users of this script would like to see this same feature.

or you could create some kind of plugin that will generate tags for the articles automatically from yahoo, google or wiki suggestions. I've seen similar plugins, but you have to edit each article manually to save the tags. There may be another alternative out there, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

Thanks for your hard work on the update for wordpress 2.3.1. Another question, can I upgrade to 2.3.2 without causing problems? They released a security enhancement recently. I'm guessing that it won't affect anything since its just a minor release. Better safe than sorry though.
