    Great idea for premium members. Have the ability for premium members to mark a thread for 'automatic bump'. Crontab script would run occasionally bumping these marked threads automatically as allowed by the 7 day bump rule.

    I agree that it is not necessory for me too. You may sometimes want to use your bump credit sometimes you wont. you may bump ( and edit ) any other thread some times. it is good to do manually.
    If you on the other hand bump one and only 1 thread each time, it wont hurt you to manually bump ( and edit if required ) it once in 7 days. It wont hurt if you miss to bump exactly on 7th day either.
