LOL I just highlighted the part that surely you didn't get (my bad, i explained myself not well probably) I meant "i don't know" why people think that autoblogs are magic or dangerous (i could understand if they wonder this and i said you can avoid it) so not that i don't know IF they are dangerous.. But again, seems like this thread was open by me saying "hey, buy my stuff, whatever i say!". I always smile at people like you, i don't honestly care when angry people like you says whatever you said... I smile 'cause people like you judge with no knowledge of what i do, no matter if other people is happy about it. I would agree with you if i said "hey, autoblogs can make high quality content!". But again, i don't really care to convince people like you, seriously. When there's such a barrier and anger what's the point... At least with the other guy (mindmedia) i had a normal discussion. Different points of view, no problem with him. Have a good day, i go back "wasting" my time with autoblogs....
I am not angry. What gave you that idea? Disgusted maybe, but not angry. The reason people think it is a "magic pill" is largely in part due to people like you. You misrepresent what auto-blogging is and leave out the down-sides. It is all about selling some product, of which, I am still trying to figure out what you are selling -- so far, you have nothing to really offer. This thread was not just about auto-blogging. It was about auto-blogging and what Google thinks about them. Yes? Well the answer to that is clear. Google does not like them, and will sniff them out and throw those auto-blogged pages into the "supplemental hell". This is not rumor, or a tale, it is just plain fact. If you want to ruffle your feathers and make this into something else, go for it. I ain't biting. I don't think anybody is really listening to what you have to say anyway.
Here is my review on autoblogging.. Autoblog gets good ranking and traffics only in a few weeks or months, UNLESS you are really serious about it, and do link building, but it needs lots and lots of work of link building. I do not recommend autoblogging, unless you really will work hard for it. To me, running autoblogs are consuming lots of works, though it did earn me money, but I do not have time for them, because I still have to check them to avoid posting the same content. Autoblogs are only good, if you run many many blogs, but do not run autoblogs as your main blogs. That was my opinion..
So what you are saying is you hand-edit the auto-content into your own words? You use the auto-content plugin as a tool, and do not throw it into automatic-pilot mode?
In the very beginning, I put it on auto-pilot, but then, if it already scrapped the content with associated specific keywords that I set up, it will then pull contents that are not relevant. So in a specific of time, when it starts to pull unrelevant content, I save the posts in drafts, and edit the unrelevant content. I could, however put it on 100% autopilot with unrelevant content, but I don't want it.
I use FeedPress and a Yahoo!Pipe for specific news and blog items. And like you, they get thrown into Draft mode. I end up deleting 80% of the Drafts, and rewrite the rest "editorial" style. This is used for a custom news bar and then auto-tweeted. You can think of this like what SmartBriefs is doing for different industries. I would not call this "auto-blogging" though. It is a process to aggregate and editorialize current news topics. It does take a lot of work to republish content that is already out on the web and make it your own.
Good for you I am happy using wp-robot plugin, it has indeed more features than feedpress and yahoo pipe.
Sure ok, now i believe you are satisfied for shouting out your frustration. Glad for you. If you are not interested about what i say just ignore me. Also because you are still saying something wrong, Google don't like copied content, not autoblogs. And i'm saying that it is possible, believe it or not, to avoid problems with Google having content to "look" unique. Can you understand this? You know how to di it? Probably not if you talk this way... So, if you feel bad about my replies just because i offer the autoblog service,it's your problem. I obviously offer it on a forum so there's nothing strange or wrong with it. I'm saying that Google don't love copied content, but just you have to give it a twist and you are fine. Do you have a problem with that? Maybe you hate autoblogs but there's people interested asking about it and i replied. Stop. It's easy to notice your frustration, maybe 'cause you were not able to make 1cent with autoblogs so have to think that no one can do it and if anyone says that it is truth it's saying bullshit etc etc. You have no idea what i do, how i make money, how i set up autoblogs, what else i do once they are done, etc etc etc so if i was you i'd just stop judging who you don't know 'cause you begin to look ridicoulos. Now, have a good day and if you want to show your frustration again go on, i'd just try to avoid to waste my time replying to people like you that just have to give vent to his frustration.
Google is still the number 1 engine. With that, it will bring you lots of organic traffic if you are well verse in SEO. Ignoring Google is not the answer. Finding a solution to make the post from Autoblog unique is! That is rat race we are participating. My advice is forget about autoblog if you are not comfortable with it. If you are using it, be prepared to accept the outcome IF Google manage to close the loop hole.
I think autoblogs should be penalized. Stealing content from people and slapping adsense on blogs to generate revenue is no different than piracy. I don't think they offer any value to readers because content is garbled as it mixes comments inside article to show it unique. Good to see google is tracking them down.
Again. I am not frustrated. Your tone is beginning to sound like you may be getting a little frustrated. Sorry if I rile you, but I speak my mind and make no bones about it. And why should I ignore you? You and I are keeping this thread alive! The more you post, the more people realize that you do not have any "real arguments" for using an auto-blog and how to get it around Google.
For what I am using it for, one single Yahoo!Pipes feed going into FeedPress, does what I need it to do and no more. If I need extra fidgeting with the feeds going into the pipe, then there are some pretty powerful modules I can insert inline, anywhere along the line. For the most part, it gives me a filtered title (uniform letter casing across all feeds), couple of paragraphs stripped of Html (run through a spell checker), the source of the news story (with Read more at in front of it), keywords (unchanged), and that is enough. It is ready to make minor revisions to it, maybe drop a paragraph (I am only looking for quickie excerpts) and off to Twitter and the News Bar it goes. Easy, peasy! Nothing against WP-Robot, but I did the work on this just to say that I could. It was more of a learning experience and it turned out to be pretty useful. Still need to learn a whole lot more about Pipes, but so far it is pretty kewl!
See the thing is a system can never be perfect and we always have new technologies coming up that can help us build up a Google proof Autoblog. I have been doing this for over two years and have made a lot, I mean a LOt of money and this rumour of google against content spammers has been since then.
Autoblogs can't be stopped. But in the future sooner or later they will get caught. There will just be new ones to take the place. Google's technology improves to stop more autoblogs. While at the same time, autoblogs also improves their technology to prevent Google from blocking them.
Actually google declared war to duplicate content, but it is a little hard to say if auto blogs are the same with duplicate content.
