I knew this was a bad idea as soon as I started seeing people do it. As a test, I put up one auto approve directory, and sure enough I got emails from people that hired some unprofessional SEO firm to go around submitting. It's basic logic. You submit to directories that have quality guidelines. And quality directories make money long term. Maybe it is just a trickle for some but it does work.
A long term consistent trickle goes a lot further than a short term burst that eventually crashes and burns.
Auto approve directories = Link Farms There isn't even a disguise. They are what they are. Without a vetting procedure, no matter what software someone decides to use, if they provide a facility to auto-add links it is a link farm, and it will get penalised as soon as it is noticed/reported. People that go this route, are the ones we should be outing first and foremost as they hurt the industry. They aren't directory owners at all, they are link farm operators.
People who sell these SEO services in many cases are harming their customers and they know it. But they make too much money promoting an untruth. That is where directory owners need to do a better job of being on the right side of this issue, and letting their customers know and benefit from good practices.
Unfortunately you get a lot of that here. I think he's from Bangladesh and they English is not translating properly.
Your best bet is to just NOT use an auto-approve directory. You're site does not carry much weight in a directory that is not indexed because it contains crap.
Towards the same point... I was looking to submit a website of mine to zorg-directory.com (a pretty established and old directory) but as soon as I saw that they had an instant-approved option I decided against it. They probably think if someone is going to pay their listing fee the listing is not going to be spam, but that means that they don't moderate the titles and descriptions of new submissions.
So far as I can tell, Zorg is not in the scary range. I looked at their links coming in and not too bad. I see the site with the most links to them is miriblack.com, which also links to phpLD. Miriblack is banned by google. I was thinking to maybe start disallowing banned directories.
Im not sure what you want to say Your auto approve directory got un-natural link message ? More likely "using techniques outside ..." Or sites submitted to your auto-approve directories got the message? I should submit phplinkdirectory.net to your auto approve directory
Most definitely, it is best to avoid auto-approve directories. Nowadays you should be picky about what directories you submit links to.
