    Hi everyone,

Anyone use Authorize.net for accepting payments?

Also, does anyone here have an affiliate program with any of their sites where they use another way to pay other than PayPal?

I personally didn't use Authorize.net ever and my many clients are using Authorize.net as a payment processor for their online stores and I have done the integration of it for them :)

I think it is most secured and a good Payment Processor. Fees are high but really preferable for large business.

I have used Authorize.net for years. I never had a problem with them. My merchant bank was Humboldt Bank and the only time I heard from them was after my 1st transaction , they held my funds and wanted proof of shipping. So if you use them make sure to keep good records. I dropped them about 9 months ago, but now I am in the process of getting back with them.

As far as any affiliate programs it depends on which type you are refering to. In my last one I had to use CCBill.

But again Authorize.net is very secure and integrates very nicly with a lot of open source and custom applications.

    Hope that helped a bit.

Just to clarify, Authorize.net is not a payment processor, they are a payment gateway. You will still need a merchant account that supports authorize.net to use it. Since most merchant account providers use or can use authorize.net, it shouldn't be hard to get that part setup.

Apart from that, I personally think they are currently the best payment gateway available. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to accept credit cards through their website, and they are also who we currently use for our ecommerce. Their system offers a good API for integration, they are a reasonably priced payment gateway, and they are very well supported since they are the most widely used gateway.

Unless there is something that would prohibit your business from using a merchant account rather than a 3rd part processor like paypal, 2checkout, etc., authorize.net is probably the best choice for a payment gateway.
