Authority Question

I think almost everyone agrees that .gov and .edu and classed as authority sites and a link from them is like pure gold.

My question is since i target teens and teens (some) go to school i am trying to gain some links from .sch sites and .sch.uk (uk schools)

Do you think these are classed as normal sites or authority sites?
Since i dont think you can just register a .sch domain can you?

 

If only schools can register them, I'd say they are treated the same way as links from .edu domains.

 

well ive never seen them anywhere else on the net apart from official school website

 

I have never seen any site with those kind of backlinks

Now ofcourse this is just speculation, but I do not believe they would be nearly as valuable as a .edu or .gov

Those .sch extensions just arent established enough...

More than likely, this type of weight increase was implemented into the search algorithms some time ago and doubt they have been updated much...

 

as long as it is relevant,it will bring much benefits to your site..i think gov and edu has more authoirty thats for sure'
