authority link?

    what is authority link people talk about? how does it look like? is it possible to get an authority link from google?:)

    An authority link is one from a site which is well established in the SERPs for a particular keyword or topic.

    search for "yahoo" and you will see how it looks.. with subpages/subsites below the result.
    Thats what called an authority site.

    Nobody from Google has drawn the link between a site having sitelinks and it having 'authority'. What's your source?

    sitelinks are shown mostly when you search for the site name/url.
    While authority links are shown when searching for a keyword..

    Thats what I know.

    You don't get an authority link from google. You get an authority link from other sites. If you get enough links from other sites for a particular keyword your site will rise to the top of the SERPs and become an authority. Then you can give authority links to others. ;)

    Authority Link / site is usually high PR websites (PR 5 and up). Many of them has good SERP.

    I've also heard that in order to have an authority link, your site should have a minimum of about 150-200 pages in addition to being well optimized for a particular KW.

    Authority links are of 2 types:
    1>>Absolute Authority Links
    2>>Relative Absolute Authority Links

    These links help to increase the back link if it will be done by ethical ways.

    authority sites are sites of value. They have large numbers of inbound links from similar well linked sites, have been online for a while and tend to be content heavy.

    "authority sites" is just a phrase that webmasters use

    basically it means a site with internet "authority "
    ie adobe

    im really not sure if they have that much benefit

    Guess no one really knows what a Authority link is.

    I think authority is just a word for established and trustworthy. Not a term that google has made up.

    If you are an authority in SEO your opinion on matters is highly valued. Please let me know if i am totally wrong ;-)

    Looks like a PR6 link from google so it could be possible to get a google backlink.

    PS. price starts at 30k Euro might not be worth it ;)
