If I have ALOT of different authors that write content for a blog of mine and in return they get a "resource box" that has like 2 links pointing to their site . . . will that affect my PR or site rankings ? Why I ask is because I read somewhere google took away a sites PR because they had outbound links to other sites on ALL their pages. And google thought they were selling links, so they lost their PR. So if I am not selling links but my authors get a resource box that has a link to their site in there will that affect my site in any way ? ? ? Thanks for your help !
Yes I think that it could harm a little bit. However you can create a different page with the details of the different authors writing in your blog. This way every post of your blog will not have 2 links for the author. You can include their details at that page only. But dont allow 2 links in every post for your authors.
I don't think it's too bad, since you're not selling links or anything. Just make sure you don't have too many links on every page, that might annoy Google.
