You cant authorize transfer unless the domain is 60 days old . Request authorization code from the registrar or you could find the domain secret in the hosting control pannel itself .

Change the nameservers in your domainsite.com account to hostmonster's nameservers and when you sign up with hostmonster add your domain to your account there. Let us know if you have any ?'s. Best of luck.

    1) Login to your Domainsite control panel
    2) click on "Manage Registered Domain Names"
    3) click on your domain name
    4) Auth Code will be at the bottom of the yellow box on the right

The Domain name registrar and web hosts do not necessary need to be one and the same. It is always better to keep them separate so that you are not locked into some technicality which prevents you from shifting in the future especially if the domain name is provided for free. Check to see what their terms are because some actually register the domain name in the web host name so you are literally giving away control of your domain name to your web host who can later use that as a bargaining chip to prevent you from using any one else.

Just do what micksss do and you be fine. Here is a more definite answer to your question http://helpdesk.hostmonster.com/kb/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=45
