Hey all! This question is directed probably at mainly Australian citizens or paypal experts. I am getting a bank card tomorrow, and want to assign it to my paypal account, however the card does not have a visa or mastercard logo on it. It is called a "redi-card". Can I still add this card?
Then you will not be able to validate it via CC. You may have to attach it to your back account to validate it. (I have both, and am in Aust but I'm pretty sure you need to have the Visa, MasterCard, Amex or Diners symbol for it to be valid). But hey, give it a go and see what happens =)
Alright, so if the card doesn't work, and I need to attach it to my bank account how do I pay for things from ebay etc. with it?
I did a little search on the internet about the redicard and appears to be more an Australian based Debit Card with ATM facilities. It seems that it is only accepted within Australia and is not something global. However, in Australia you have the advantage of using the Instant Bank Transfer, see http://paypal-offers.com.au/addbankaccount.html . It does appear that you can make all your purchases through paypal using your nominated Australian bank account.
Cheers Eddy, i'll research this EDIT: Think it's possible to guess them? I don't wanna have to wait a month lol.
Does anyone know if theres a age limit to getting a visa/mastercard debit card with your bank company? (in australia)
At St George you can get a Visa Debit card, and i'm almost certain there is no age limit because you can't actually get credit with the card.. However it's still a valid Visa Card. Also you don't have to wait a month for the 2 deposit amounts, either use net banking to view the transactions or go to your bank branch and request a statement of the last week.
