The 2011 Australian Open will start on the 17th.

Who do you think will take the first Tennis Grand Slam of the year?

I am hoping the Roger Federer get to defend his title. But world no.1 Rafael Nadal is surely another favorite to win it.

    What's your take?

Gotta go with Nadal. I think Federer might have a great year though.

Roger all the way. Nadal is a great player but I don't like his face (Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear called him ape. LOL!) and when he keep touching his ass every single time before he serve.

Djokovic or Nadal. Roger might reach the semi final but thats it. Just hoping he doesn't cry, and takes the defeat as a real man rathern than as a kid.

Without doubt Nadal is the one to beat,if he can keep fit he will win, he has all the attributes to win.
What about Andy Murray as a dark horse?

Rod Laver is as modest as he is accomplished.
Australia’s most prolific champion, he is the only player with two calendar-year Grand Slams to his name and he also played a key role in five victorious Davis Cup teams between 1959-62 and in 1973.

Rafa, Fed and the Djoker are my top picks. I believe that Djokovic has a good chance and his odds are still good. In the women's I prefer Vera Zvonareva, also a good bet with current odds.

You know he had been knocked out by David Ferrer in the quarter finals at the time you made that post?

Nole played great throughout the tournament. He was especially superb against Federer and Murray. Congrats to him, and i hope he wins many more grand slams.
