Australian elections - Saturday August 21st

    I think the Greens are the only viable party at this election. Time to give them a stint in power and rid the self-serving lot we have there now.

    We need Liberal for a few years.

    I like the Greens stance on some things, including gay marriage - but ultimately I need a break from the insane taxes on the few things I enjoy, and I would like to see a curb on immigration.

    I really wish there was a better option though - sigh.

    Well... this is getting interesting and tense. The British political system, which the Australians have adopted, feels odd to my American-born mind.

    How do you think the election will finally turn out and why is it taking so damned long to count the votes?

    I think it could end up being Gillard, although I'm still hoping it isn't, frankly.

    I think I should be PM. I'd be better at it than our two current options, lol.
