I couldn't agree more - the future of Australia's economy lies more in the hands of China and the United States than any action our Prime Minister or Treasurer takes - the moment the resource boom collapses our economy will tank. All those in high paying trades better be putting money away for the bad times because they will come no matter who the government is.
What bugs me about THIS Labour Party leader is the hypocrisy. Most of the Labour Party candidates that contested seats for the working class do NOT actually live in the poor man suburbs. If they care so much why not live in the suburbs where they hope to be voted? Kevin Rudd has as his wife one of the richest women in Australia. What bugs me is when these labour dudes apply double standards and they expect to be seen as the honest ones. You know like when they found out Kevin Rudd went to a strip joint in US. After the story broke out, Kevin Rudd's excuse was he was too drunk and he made the wrong decision. HOWEVER: he was too drunk to remember what was taking place at the strip joint YET he remembers he stayed there for about 30m and THEN he went back to the hotel. AGAIN, this is a double standard: remembering ONLY the things that are convenient while being too drunk to remember the other things.
