The Aussie Conservative Prime Minister Howard has lost his job, and Labor's Kevin Rudd is in. It appears Labor will garner a clear majority in the Australian Parliament's lower house. Worse for Howard, it appears he may lose even his own parliamentary seat, a blow not dealt to a sitting prime minister in over 100 years. Rudd has indicated his government will immediately sign the Kyoto Protocol, and begin the withdrawal of combat troops from Iraq (leaving in place troops designated as "security" troops).
