Today is Australia day! A national holiday where every Aussie should be relaxing and sharing a beer or a dozen, relaxing at the beach, fishing or throwing a shrimp on the bbq. Well actually they are called prawns here and yes we do all wrestle crocs in our spare time like crocodile Dundee and have pet koalas and kangaroos skip down the street before we nail em with our shottys. Our public relations manager here at www.homeless.org.au is sporting the Australian flag and thrilling the neighbours with her Aussie spirit: It's important also to acknowledge that for indigenous Australians today is considered 'Invasion Day' because the British basically invaded a country already owned by natives and declared it uninhibited by anyone. So it's more than fitting to share with you this important reflection : (the picture on my office wall is of the tribal boundaries of aboriginal clans) Aware of the reality behind the founding of this nation, we are proud Australians. So shout it out if you are an Aussie.... Aussie Aussie Aussie...

Happy Australia day! I've met a lot of Au-zee's over the last few years...all good people. Do you guys get blow shit up in celebration like we do here on the Fourth of July? Sure is! And that's me behind her...getting ready to kiss her neck and...do some other stuff. (thanks for the reach-around!)

No we aren't really into blowing stuff up here. There was probably some fireworks but not as much as new year's eve.
That was one of the things I liked about being in Europe - fireworks on New Years. I kind of missed the normal celebrations from "back home" held on July 4th, but it was a cool addition to New Year's celebrations to see fireworks. As I recall, Australian cities generally have nice fireworks displays for Jan 1st, but they really went all out for 2000 in some of the larger metro areas. Speaking of fireworks, one of the all-time Playboy Playmates was Aussie
