Aussie alternative to Paypal for my site

Hi - I have an ecommerce site up and running using paypal. Everything's going ok and I don't need to move off paypal but I would like to offer customers the ability to pay directly with their credit cards or bank transfer without having to have a paypal account.

What are the best options in Australia for doing this ?

Also, I would like to be able to add some "verisign" style logos to my site to give it a bit more of a trusted/secure look, so I'd be grateful for any pointers to "trusted" style website logos - related to a new payment system or otherwise. Thanks..

FYI,you cannot add verisign logo at your site if you're not using their SSL.
If you don't wanna use PP then you should use this swreg.org.
What best about them is they accept CC and PP

thanks. yeah, i understand that you can't use the verisign logo if you're not using their products - i was just using that as an example of a logo that might make some customers feel safer and help the site have more credentials.

i've got no need to ditch paypal altogether - i just want to add to it and take my site to the next step by adding the ability for direct credit card transactions for customers who don't use paypal.

i'm have a look at x-cart at the moment. I built my site in dreamweaver from a html template and i'm considering re-doing it within x-cart, so i'd be interested in hearing from people who have done this and their experiences with x-cart. thanks..

    1. you can use eway (im using it) and can accept cc on ur site.
    2. also you can use paymate.

There are many international sites these days including moneybookers and alertpay. RevolutionMoneyExchange is also useful and has no country limits on a brief view of it's website.

To check out a large list of paypal alternates go to paymentalternates dot com.
