Auotblogging

Has any one heard of autoblogging? I have been hearing a lot about it lately and wanted to know what it was.

Is autoblogging like using csv import tools like CSV 2 POST!

 

i think it use wordpress plugin like w-p-otomatic that automatically fetch posts from other sites/blogs and also automaticaly post fetched articles

It is simply automating the process of blogging. Generally people develop programs which have a specific insert of content or fetch it from other sites using various means (like RSS) and then "spin" the content and repost it. Spinning the information makes it look different by substituting similar words and rearranging the content, often making nearly unreadable to people. Many of these site are their as part of a dynamic linking net or pyramid and simply used to generate links to another site, some others use them just to put up Adsense and hope for clicks.

I think autoblogging is great for building supporting blogs. For example,
I use autoblog for narutotoyshop.com (will blogroll with someone if its kinda relevant)
and support it with this other autoblog narutonoodleshop.com.

The first one organizes and points to amazon content.
The second one gathers and organizes naruto shipuden episodes from hulu.com

both are valuable services to the community, both 100% automated.

see, not all autoblogs have to be crap copied content.

Autoblogging is using rss content and affiliate content such as amazon and clickbank and ebay items, to build a niche blog.

 

Here is an example of an autoblog http://www.thedailyfractal.com . I use Blogsense autoblogger and google picasa, flicker, and deviant art feeds to power it.

There is (currently) no other Wordpress plugin that has such an amount of features.

 

BlogSense just added text search and replace feature + scraping features.
I'd finally say the two compare well side by side.

 

If you do this, don't do it with Adsense. Might get you banned.

Autoblogging is the act of having content / media posted to your blog in the background, without your direct input for each and every post made to your blog. There are quite a few plugins that will allow you to auto-post content -- some free, and many that require a one-time payment.

Most plugins work by extracting information from RSS feeds from other websites, but you could also get a script / plugin that will scrape websites for content (not a good idea, though) and automatically post it to your blog.

If you're running Wordpress, WP-O-Matic is a free auto-posting plugins that gathers data from RSS feeds (though I found that limited), and here's a tutorial on how to use some php code that you can insert into your post or page (using Wordpress) to display RSS feed data from other sites:
