Does anyone know how much, or percentage, of eBay sales does AuctionAds pay out? What about active sign ups?

Trying to figure out if theres potential for a competing system.

What benefits would you be giving over AuctionAds ?

Better to just go through CJ, then you get 100% instead of sharing ebay commissions with auctionads.

AuctionAds, which is now ShoppingAds, I would guess in the top affiliate teir which means that they would be able to give a good percentage of what they receive an affiliate.

The benefit of going through CJ is that you have more control over how the affiliate links are presented.

Just brainstorming, I guess it would have to offer something that people want and AuctionAds does not have.

Is there a way to create ebay ads that are contextual or display random things from categories? (for people who don't know a damn thing about programming? :D ) I know they have some kind of API program.

Not sure how AuctionAds does their ads but ya make something thats really simple to use and still very flexible. Also give lots of payment options so its available to many countries.

Not sure, this would be a big project but might have some potential if done correctly.

Have you had a look at phpBay pro ? This has a plugin for wordpress that can display ads from specific categories.

Why not make learning programming a new years resolution ? It's a really useful skill.

I use BANS and definitely will try out phpbay very soon. I was thinking more along the lines of an ebay "widget" or box ad that pulls or scrolls through items. Amazon Associate has something similar to this.

I'd love to get into programming, I'm pretty far into CSS at the moment, not sure if I'd ever have time to get into things like Javascript though.

Hi guys , im working on something like this for personal use. PM if interested.

Its a 3rd party store product (free) and Ive created a script to pull from ebay rss because CJ will charge you $200 to get access to their Feeds.

If you want to PM me with a keyword and I'll setup something to show you....
We can work out a payment for script if you're interested.. Im going to launch this in a few weeks , its nothing major but will help out a lot of people and let them do it on their own without using ShoppingAds or BANS.

Im not knocking either but wanted to do it myself... a little bit DIY ;)

    Just a thought :)

    PM for details.

Back to my original question, whats the exact revenue sharing setup that ShoppingAds is using on their eBay division? What % of it goes to the end user?

I like using auction ads just for Text Links and using ebay (eBay) with the new Go To eBay. Works very well together!
